B.D FARM PARIS CREEK
Based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills of South Australia, B.-d. Farm Paris Creek is one of the nation’s finest producers of dairy products. Our range of milk, yogurt, quark, butter and handcrafted cheeses are made from the highest quality, premium, biodynamic milk.

At every stage of production, we avoid the use of homogenisation, artificial ingredients such as colours and flavours, or anything that would interfere with the quality promise of our products and we aim to provide the best possible health benefits for our organic-conscious customers.

Our point of difference starts in the soil, and continues in the seed production, herd management, and processing. There is nothing artificial in our land, our animals, or our product. No fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and GMO’s on the land, and no antibiotics or hormones on the animals.

One of our most recent achievements is the upgrade of our manufacturing plant to one of the most energy efficient companies in South Australia. B.-d. Farm Paris Creek is one of only a few companies that have received the Clean Energy Grant, which helped achieve this goal. The different components of this project are solar electricity, solar hot water and dramatically improved process efficiencies.

ROHDE’S FREE RANGE EGGS
Rohde's have been producing Free Range Eggs for more than 50 years, in the pristine rural surrounds of Tarlee, 80 Kilometres north of Adelaide on the edge of the Clare Valley.

In the 1950s, Ian and Jill Rohde decided to supplement their farm income by dedicating a small area of their Ruradene Farm property to hens.

Over the years, demand has continued growing for their quality, free range eggs. In 1998, John & Angela and Ian & Jill expanded the business, harnessing three generations of Rohde family expertise (including their four children) and the tireless efforts of their dedicated employees.

Every Rohde Free Range Egg you buy has been produced by one of 40,000 chooks who roam freely from paddock to laying shed and produce approximately 32,000 eggs per day. That mighty effort accounts for one out of every five free range eggs produced in South Australia!

Life is blissful for the hens who tuck into the grain grown on the farm and lay in spacious, comfortable conditions in a modern facility which is carefully monitored. Conditions are so good that the Ruradene Farm is the only RSPCA accredited free range egg farm in South Australia!

Before our Rohde's Free Range Eggs can be distributed to SA retail businesses, restaurants and hotels/motels, they are graded on the property into 300g and 350g half dozen cartons, 600g, 700g, 800g cartons and catering packs ready for immediate sale and use.

Rohde's Free Range Eggs are Australian Egg Corporation Ltd assured and audited.

WATERLOO WINDFARM

Operating since October 2010, Waterloo’s 37 turbines generate clean energy to a number of homes in South Australia. Waterloo is located 30km from the town of Clare and about 9km east of Manoora. Situated along a rocky ridge on privately owned property and surrounded by gently sloping farmland, Waterloo has easy main road access and nearby supporting infrastructure.

The wind farm consists of:
·          37 turbines mounted on 80-metre high towers
·          a generation capacity of 111 megawatts (MW)
·          1.8kms of 132-kilovolt transmission line that connects the Waterloo substation into the South Australian network via the Waterloo East substation

South Australia has some of the best wind resources in the world. Strong winds, known as the ‘Roaring 40s’, regularly blow across this region. These gusts accelerate as they pass over nearby hills and ridgelines resulting in very high wind speeds.

LINFOX
Linfox has grown from humble beginnings to become the largest privately owned logistics company in Australia. Lindsay Fox began his business in Melbourne in 1956 with one truck, delivering soft drinks in the summer months and fuel in winter.

Today the massive Linfox Logistics business operates more than 3.8 million square metres of warehousing and nearly 5,000 vehicles across 10 countries. More than 19,200 people deliver sophisticated supply chain services to a wide range of leading business names.

Linfox is committed to the environment and reducing our rate of carbon emissions. We believe climate change poses global social, environmental and economic risks and demands transformational change.
We developed our Green Strategy Plan (1.87 MB PDF file) outlining what we are doing to reduce our impact on the environment.

Linfox set a new goal to reduce our rate of greenhouse gas emissions by 50 per cent by 2015 based on 2006-2007 emissions. This was announced by Linfox CEO Michael Byrne in March 2010. Linfox has cut its carbon emissions rate by 36 per cent to date.

We are reducing our greenhouse emissions through improved business practices, environmentally friendly technologies and the behaviour of our people. We are also working with our customers and with government bodies across the Asia Pacific to reduce carbon emissions.

AUSTRALIAN YOUTH CLIMATE COALITION
The AYCC mission is to build a generation-wide movement to solve the climate crisis before its too late

At the AYCC we believe that the best way to build this movement is to give young people the tools to make it happen. It’s our future at stake, and its our creativity and vision that will inspire those around us to act.

We believe that climate change is the single greatest threat facing humanity, and puts young people and future generations at risk. We also believe that addressing the climate crisis is our biggest opportunity to create a world that is more sustainable, just and fair.

We believe that the only way to solve the climate crisis is through a social movement - a groundswell of support and momentum that is powerful enough to inspire the change we need and hold decision-makers to account. This will require thousands of people committed to changing hearts and minds and willing to take deep action.

Thats why since 2007 weve helped thousands of young Australians take action in their schools, their universities, and their communities, and take part in campaigns that put climate change in the national spotlight. The AYCC now has more than 80,000 members, 100 local groups, and more than 500 regular volunteers.
